ADULT CANCER RETREATS

Each year Camp Mak-A-Dream/Gold Creek Lodge hosts retreats for adults
with cancer. There are two major events held each fall:  the Ovarian Cancer
Survivor's Retreat
and the Women's Cancer Retreat. Both retreats are for
women who either have, or have had, cancer.

These four and five day retreats give participants the chance to relax,
share their stories and meet new friends who share a similar life
experience, all in a comfortable, supportive atmosphere.

Some of the activities at our adult retreats include:

  • Keynote Speakers
  • Art Studio Sessions
  • Educational Workshops
  • Entertainment
  • Outdoor Recreation & Fitness Opportunities
  • Fine Food
  • Relaxation Time in our Beautiful Modern Cabins

12th Annual Ovarian Cancer Survivor's Retreat (September 4-8, 2008)

This retreat is held annually at Camp Mak-A-Dream in association with the Ovarian Cancer Survivor's Foundation.  Women with ovarian cancer who are in any stage of cancer therapy are welcome. Registration for the five-day retreat is limited to a maximum of 65 women on a first come, first serve basis and is filling up quickly. If you would like to attend, please contact Jennifer Benton for a registration form as soon as possible.

Fee for the 2008 retreat will be $150.00 for each participant. The reduced cost, as well as a limited number of scholarships, are possible through the Ovarian Cancer Survivor's Foundation underwriting a substantial portion of each participant's registration fee.

  • Women who are currently undergoing cancer treatment are welcome.
  • Medical staff are available during the retreat.
  • Registration is currently open and spaces are filling quickly, so please contact Jennifer Benton at : jennifer@campdream.org or call (406)549-5987 to get a registration form as soon as possible.

13th Annual Women's Cancer Retreat (October 9-12, 2008)

The Women's Cancer Retreat is offered to women who have been diagnosed with any form of cancer and is not diagnosis specific. We can accommodate up to 68 women at each retreat on a first come, first serve basis. Registration fee for the four-day retreat is $150.00.

  • Women who are currently undergoing cancer treatment are welcome
  • Medical staff available during the retreat.
  • Registration forms are available by contacting Jennifer Benton at: jennifer@campdream.org or call (406)549-5987 to get on our Women's Cancer Retreat mailing list.

Transportation to Montana for these retreats is not included in the registration fee; however, if you are flying into Missoula, Montana, we will pick you up at the Missoula airport and transport you to and from the camp facility in Gold Creek (which is approximately 65 miles east of Missoula).
