Volunteers
RATPOD would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers that join us each year. From HAM radio operators, to motorcycle support, SAG vehicle drivers, mechanics, food stop volunteers, pre-ride prep projects and rider check-in…there are many volunteer opportunities. In exchange for your time, we are happy to provide you with meals both Friday and Saturday evenings (as well as access to food stops along the route), lodging accommodations in UM-Western dorms if you need it, and an official RATPOD t-shirt.
There are volunteer opportunities starting Friday evening (before the ride) at rider check-in, plus all throughout the day on Saturday from very early morning to late evening when the post-ride festivities conclude. You can even choose to help out in the Missoula camp office leading up to the event helping to stuff packets, sort supplies, run errands or even assist in transporting the many things that need to move from Missoula down to Dillon for the big event.
Find the full list of opportunities on the volunteer form (link below) -and if you’d like to be out on one of our three routes, you may want to help out at a food/water support stop, or even consider driving a SAG vehicle with various supplies and lending a lift to riders in need. The opportunities are almost limitless!
